Enchanted Night invites audiences to explore the mysterious landscapes of the night, where the imagination takes flight. From the serene beauty of Beethoven’s Moonlight Sonata to the dreamlike worlds of Schumann’s Fantasiestücke, and the supernatural ride of Schubert’s Erlkönig, this program evokes dreams, legends, and profound emotions. It concludes with Brahms’s passionate Piano Sonata No. 3, a youthful masterpiece infused with poetry and dramatic intensity. A recital in which music reveals the evocative power of the night. This musical journey is brought to life by Toronto-born pianist Jonathan Mak, one of Canada’s most promising young artists.
